Private Classes

The Alliance Française de Berkeley offers private French classes customized to your needs and your schedule. We can arrange individual and semi-private (up to 3 persons) lessons for adults, children and teens at all levels, with fully qualified teachers. All tuitions are per individual participant and are valid for one year. Lessons can take place at the AFB or at your home or office or online via Zoom. Classes given outside of the alliance will be subject to a travel fee (a minimum $10 per lesson within a 10 mile radius of the alliance, or $1.00 per mile after that). This fee is payable directly to the teacher at the time of class, or is billable.

Please note: To schedule your 1st lesson, your preference of lesson time, date, and teacher will be taken into account but must first be confirmed from the AFB office after payment is made and teacher availability is confirmed.
